Samuel or known as AZ founded Merah Group on a single conviction: that contemporary Indonesian art, design, and living deserve institutions built to outlast their founders. He chairs the Board, sets the strategic direction across the four subsidiaries, and works closely with each Director on long-horizon commitments.

Independent oversight.

Three standing committees report to the Board of Commissioners and meet quarterly.

Audit & Risk

Reviews financial statements, internal controls, related-party transactions, and the work of the external auditor. Chaired by the independent commissioner.

Curatorial Standards

Oversees the integrity of the gallery program, the permanent collection at Merah Land, and the artistic standards of furniture editions and design projects.

Remuneration & Nominations

Sets compensation for executive directors and recommends appointments to the Board. Reviews succession plans for each division.

Sustainability

Reviews environmental performance across construction projects, hospitality operations and supply chains. Reports findings to the Board annually.
